RecMan for Google Apps
The Power of Google Apps
Over 3 million businesses use Google Docs and Gmail currently. These are companies, government agencies, schools and other organizations around the world that run their businesses using Google’s powerful set of cloud-based services. Google Apps is a simple yet powerful platform for businesses to communicate and work together, increasing productivity while reducing costs.
Unfortunately, there has not been an easy and reliable way for these users to perform even basic document compliance. Organizations that are required by law to have document compliance and records management have been unable to take advantage of the powerful benefits and cost savings offered by Google.
RecMan for Google Apps
RecMan for Google Apps was developed on the RecMan integrated platform to provide powerful, yet easy-to-use document compliance and records management for users of Google Docs and Gmail. RecMan for Google Docs
RecMan for Google Docs provides records management integrated into all your documents stored in Google Docs. Both documents created using Google’s cloud-based tools, as well as local files uploaded to Google Docs for management.. The RecMan engine allows for multiple file plans for different sections. Add a group, department, division, or the entire organization.
Users will access RecMan from the Shared Collections tab next to their file directory or from the Collections Organize window. Simple drag-and-drop actions, as well as drop-down menu items, are used to assign documents to specific areas and retention schedules.
Most important, users follow their standard filing practices and don’t need to relearn a new process for filing their documents. This leads to greater adoption and proper use of your company’s policies, and more efficiencies for the records manager.
RecMan for Gmail
With the explosion of email-based communications, records managers more and more are having to integrate email into their records management infrastructure. RecMan for Gmail allows you to use the same RecMan platform you use with Google Docs with your users’ email.
RecMan for Gmail integrates with your users’ Google Apps-based email accounts, and appears as a simple widget for users to access and file their emails. File plan policies and retention schedules are applied automatically once the emails have been placed into the appropriate area.
